It exists, therefore it is.
We look to photographs as evidence to where we used to be in order to inspire us to keep going--to keep loving, keep exploring, and keep working towards a more beautiful tomorrow.
Feel the Earth.
Be inspired by the mighty power of Skógafoss. According to legend, the first Viking settler in the area, Þrasi Þórólfsson, buried a treasure in a cave behind the waterfall...
Take a walk through the Royal Parisian rose garden, Jardin du Palais Royal in Paris, any day of the week with this multiple exposure hanging on your wall.
Malibu, California is one of the most beautiful places that Southern California has to offer. For me, it radiates with exotic energy coming from the sea. Point Dume has become a secret hideaway of mine since moving to LA and has served as the source for much of my inspiration in creating a better tomorrow.
The fuzzy flower was found in the Royal Gardens in Paris, France while on tour with Linkin Park. The fresh colors are full of life and energy and rather than notice every intricate detail in the petals, you feel more from the scene as a whole.
Sometimes we need a cloudy day to balance us out, as the light of the sun can sometimes be just too intense. It sucks us dry if we let it. Wake up each day with this reminder to nurture yourself and enjoy the calm before the storm.
Melt away into the colors of Malibu. The lime green blends confidently against the grey that surrounds it. What makes some things beautiful is its ability to stand out in a complimentary fashion. Learn from nature and grow.
While hiking in Malibu I came across a part in the trail that forced me to slide past bushes of bees as they enjoy their lunch. I've never been stung by a bee before and for all I know I could be severely allergic, but the unknown answer to that question will never stop me from admiring their hard work and dedication.
Mammoth Mountain is the first ski mountain I ever visited at the age of 5. My parents threw me on a double black diamond and I screamed the whole way down. Decades later, I went back and snapped this photo just before flying down the mountain with ease. Sometimes we have to force ourselves into uncomfortable situations in order to grow from them.
Just outside of Mammoth Lakes are these hot springs, in the middle of nowhere. I happened upon them while out adventuring with coworkers and fell in love with the golden tones against the blue mountains. Never stop wandering...
Life in Black & White.
This was shot at the top of a tour in Paris on a day off. Looking at the body language of the folks in this photo I am reminded that we all have places to be and places we want to go, in every different direction. Where do you want to go? What do you want to see?
Finding peace amongst the chaos is an ongoing challenge of everyday life. While enjoying a day off on tour in Paris, I caught a glimpse of this pigeon flying over the Saine River with Notre Dame in the distance. I snapped this shot and took a deep breathe, allowing the calm to settle while the city carried on around me.
Body language is everything. People will show you who they are if you're willing to watch and listen. You don't have to know this woman on the bike to know she's a strong, independent woman with somewhere to be. What would you look like if you weren't being watch? I hope this image makes you question that.
This is where we are right now. Modern day history. Thank you Madrid, Spain for giving a home to the homeless. The world could learn a thing or two from your kindness.
